1.To possess knowledge of the principal categories and concepts of psychological science, the history of the development of psychological knowledge, methods of psychology, and fundamental information regarding mental phenomena, processes, and states, as well as their functioning under the influence of psychotropic substances. 2.To be able to identify the therapeutic effects and adverse reactions of psychotropic medications on the cognitive, emotional-volitional, and value-motivational spheres of personality, and to plan psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals receiving psychoactive medications. To possess skills in scientific research, information retrieval, processing, and analysis, the use of information and communication technologies, as well as basic competencies in the psychological support of individuals with mental disorders undergoing psychopharmacotherapy

The course provides knowledge of the subject matter, methods, historical development, current research areas, and interdisciplinary position of clinical psychopharmacology. It develops understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications on the human body and psyche in the treatment of mental disorders. The course focuses on practical skills in psychodiagnostics, psychotherapeutic interaction, and psychological support for individuals receiving psychopharmacotherapy. It examines the influence of different classes of psychotropic substances on cognitive, emotional-volitional, and value-motivational domains of personality, as well as the mechanisms of pharmacological action on mental activity and behavior, including therapeutic, adverse, and toxic effects. The discipline is aimed at developing competencies in psychodiagnostic assessment and socio-psychological support of individuals undergoing psychopharmacotherapy.

Lectures, seminar classes, and independent study.

Oral responses (presentations, participation in discussions, additional contributions): 25/15 points. Analytical presentation: 25/5 points. Final assessment paper: 50/20 points. Form of final assessment: pass/fail examination. Assessment is carried out throughout the semester and covers all forms of academic work. Independent assignments and active participation in seminar classes are evaluated. Students are also required to present a completed project during seminar classes. The maximum number of points available during the semester is 100. Students who accumulate fewer than 60 points during the semester but more than the minimum threshold of 40 points are required to take the pass/fail examination. The examination consists of an oral assessment covering the course content and a presentation of a project, together worth 20 points. Students who accumulate fewer than the minimum threshold of 40 points during the semester are not eligible to take the pass/fail examination.
