Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of previously mastered courses in medical and biological physics, biological and clinical chemistry, human anatomy and physiology.
2. Be able to independently apply new knowledge in practical activities based on the existing knowledge base in the chosen specialty.
Course content
This course examines in detail modern concepts of the use of various types of radiation (ionizing, ultrasonic and electromagnetic fields) in medical practice for visualization and study of the structure and functions of internal structures, organs and systems of a person, which allows doctors to detect diseases, assess their development, determine the degree and stage of pathological changes, and monitor the effectiveness of treatment. Particular attention is paid to diagnostic methods based on the use of ionizing radiation (X-rays, gamma radiation) and radioactive isotopes that emit these rays. Diagnostic methods using UV light, laser and LED radiation are also considered. Issues related to modern different types of ultrasound diagnostics are considered. The knowledge obtained is important for the professional training of students in specialty I6 "Technologies of Medical Diagnostics and Treatment" and the use of the obtained interdisciplinary knowledge in practical activities.
