Learning outcomes
PR01. Be able to apply modern mathematical methods to solve practical problems related to the research and design of biotechnological processes. To use knowledge of physics to analyze biotechnological processes.
PR15. Based on knowledge of the laws of mechanical, hydromechanical, heat and mass transfer processes and basic design features, be able to choose the appropriate equipment in the design of biotechnological products for various purposes to ensure their maximum efficiency.
PR17. To be able to draw up a material balance sheet for one cycle of the production process, equipment specification and a stage control map with production control points.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses taught in previous semesters.
2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of biotechnology, biochemistry, and other disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, and work with scientific and methodological literature.
3. Possess basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and biotechnological laboratories.
Course content
The academic discipline “Processes and Devices of Biotechnological Production” covers the study of modern methods of biology and biotechnology in order to familiarize students with the basic concepts and basic principles of biotechnological production. During the study of the discipline, the practical application and significance of individual methods in biotechnology are presented or demonstrated.
