Course content
The discipline is devoted to the study of technologies of various microbiological productions and microorganisms used in industry. An important place is given to highlighting the methods of selection of industrial strains of microorganisms, methods of their storage and cultivation on various types of raw materials. Technological schemes for the production of food products and beverages, the synthesis of biologically active substances and medicines are considered in detail. Considerable attention is paid to the methods of obtaining food protein, probiotics, enzyme preparations, bacterial fertilizers, plant protection preparations. The issues of using microorganisms in biogeotechnologies are considered. The study of technologies of microbiological productions is relevant for the development of new biotechnologies and the improvement of existing ones.
