Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge: the history of the development of social service delivery and social welfare systems in international social work practice; the specifics of coordinating forms and methods of social work with various client categories. Skills: the ability to apply knowledge gained during the course to practical work and scientific research; establishing appropriate professional relationships with representatives of foreign state and international non-governmental organizations and institutions involved in social policy-making within the field of social work; identifying and assessing current problems in social work.
Course content
The study of the most advanced social work models and the experiences of social workers from various countries enables students of the Master's program in Social Work to familiarize themselves with current trends in the field. It allows them to acquire competencies for adapting these trends to domestic practice, form an understanding of international cooperation in social work, and recognize the resources such collaboration provides for professional growth and activity in both public and non-governmental sectors. Furthermore, it aims at improving the quality of social service delivery and developing the social services market in Ukraine. The lecture content complies with the requirements of the State Educational Standard for Higher Professional Education in the field of Social Work.

Assessment methods and criteria
Verbal answers, practical tasks, presentations, reports, essay, project The maximum number of points per semester is 80 points. The form of the test is verbal in accordance with the submitted projects, presentations, reports. The minimum number of points for sitting the examination is 36 points. The number of points scored throughout semester is announcing in advance.
