Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Understand the characteristics of the functioning and development of modern society, politics, and government, as well as human interaction with social and political institutions. 2. Be able to gather and interpret information regarding the phenomena and manifestations of socio-political processes, and apply basic concepts to critically analyze events occurring in political conflicts. 3. Possess basic skills in research and information management; be able to critically analyze political, economic, and cultural events and phenomena; and know how to use information sources.
Course content
The aim of the course is to equip students with a body of knowledge that serves as the theoretical foundation for understanding the issues surrounding the psychology of political conflicts, as well as the skills and competencies needed to effectively apply this knowledge in the resolution of contemporary socio-political conflicts. The course focuses on presenting and explaining key concepts related to political conflict studies and examining the psychological dimensions of political conflicts.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminar discussions; debates, individual and group projects, case studies, communication exercises, and role-playing games.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final assessment takes the form of an exam. The maximum number of points a student can earn is 40 out of 100. The format is written. The types of tasks include open-ended questions and creative tasks; the answer to open-ended question 1 accounts for 30%, the answer to open-ended question 2 accounts for 30%, and the creative task accounts for 40% of the total grade. The minimum passing score for the exam is 24 points. Conditions for admission to the exam. A student is not admitted to the exam if they earned fewer than 36 points during the semester. They are admitted to the exam provided they have completed 50% of the practical work required by the syllabus.
