Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: the theoretical foundations, methodology and basic methods of consultancy work in the political sphere through successful mastery of the disciplines "Social Psychology", "Political Psychology", "Image-Making Psychology", "Advertising Psychology", "PR Psychology"; To be able to: plan, organise and conduct consultancy work. To possess: skills in developing and conducting consultations with clients, basic methods of planning and developing consulting activities necessary for the work of a practical psychologist.
Course content
The discipline 'Counselling Psychology in the Political Sphere' is included in the list of mandatory courses for the training of higher education students in psychology and is designed for the professional preparation of students at the educational qualification level of 'Master'. It provides: 1) the acquisition by students of the necessary knowledge about the system of psychological support in the political sphere; 2) familiarisation with psychological technologies of political counselling; 3) mastery of political consulting methods; 4) development of skills and abilities to use modern psychological technologies in the political sphere; 5) formation of professional thinking, the ability to analyse complex psychological phenomena and processes in the political sphere.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assessment methods and criteria
Student assessment forms: the final score is formed by the points obtained by the student during the process of mastering the material from all 6 topics of the two content modules, completing assignments for independent work and individual creative tasks throughout the semester. Assessment organisation: final assessment in the form of an exam: maximum number of points on the exam – 40 points, minimum points added to the semester – 24 points (60% of the maximum points allocated for the exam). Students who have accumulated a total semester score lower than the critical-calculated minimum – 20 points – are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for exam admission – 38 points.
