Learning outcomes

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) the study of the discipline requires students to have knowledge of the theory of social work and technologies of social and pedagogical activity.
2) knowledge of modern models of organization of social pedagogical work, which have developed in Ukraine and abroad, the basics of professional social and pedagogical activity regarding the students' mastery of a certain system of theoretical knowledge and practical skills and abilities necessary for a social educator.
3) the ability to collect, analyze, systematize information about social problems in the field of social work, predict directions of productive activity, use effective means of communication in social interaction with objects (clients) of social work, skills necessary for the organization of volunteer groups
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to enable higher education students to master the theoretical foundations, content and methods of providing social assistance to various categories of the population; to prepare future social educators for volunteer activities in the field of social work.
In the discipline "Methodology of organizing volunteer activities", the first section reveals the issues of the genesis of the volunteer movement in domestic and foreign practice; basic concepts and resources of the volunteer movement; regulatory and legislative acts on the support and development of the volunteer movement; principles, directions and forms of volunteer activity and the motivational aspect of volunteer activity;
in the second section, applicants learn to develop an information package on the content of volunteer activity, study the documentation and structure of accounting for volunteer work time, planning a campaign to attract volunteers. selection of volunteers, preparation of volunteers for work.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminar classes, debates, assignments for the students independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment:
1. Oral answers (speech at the seminar, participation in the discussion, debates, additions): 20-max / 12-min points;
2. Performance of practical work (demonstration of practical skills, work in subgroups, analysis of primary sources and regulatory documents, presentation):20-max / 12-min points;
3. Final modular test:
20-max /12 -min points.
Final assessment: exam
It is mandatory to pass the modular test, obtaining the assessment results in total, must be at least 36 points / maximum 60 points. Students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points - are not allowed to take the exam.
The exam is conducted in the form of written answers on the course topic and completing case tasks, which are evaluated in min. 24 points / max. 40 points.
