Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should have research and information management skills; critical attitude to the analyzed language structures. The educational discipline "Fundamentals of a second Oriental language for scientific purposes" is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the "master's" degree and involves improving the skills of selecting research approaches and methods for the analysis of specific linguistic or literary material, using a second Oriental language in scientific research.
Course content
The purpose of the course is to provide Indonesian students with basic knowledge of the Korean/Japanese language, namely: to teach Korean/Japanese phonetics, to develop reading and writing skills, to introduce the basics of normative grammar, to provide a basic vocabulary, thereby creating a foundation sufficient for a) understanding simple Korean/Japanese texts; b) development of basic speaking skills; c) application of acquired knowledge in professional activities, including for scientific purposes.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline involves only practical classes aimed at forming students' phonetic, lexical and grammatical skills in the process of active work in the classroom. Control of students' assimilation of lexical and grammatical material is carried out by means of their oral survey and the organization of written tasks, tests, lexical dictations, independent and modular control works. Completion of homework, translation exercises, and prescription according to the sample is mandatory.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material, in particular, the evaluation of theoretical training - learning results (knowledge), which makes up 40% of the total grade, and the evaluation of practical training - learning results (skills), which makes up 60% of the total grade . Assessment of semester work: 1. Work in practical classes: 12/30 points. 2. Completion of homework: 4/10 points. 3. Modular control work #1 and #2: 15/20 points. 4. Credit: 14/20 points.
