Learning outcomes
PLO4. Formulate one’s own well-reasoned judgments based on the analysis of a social problem. PLO5. Theoretically argue ways to overcome problems and difficult life circumstances, choose effective methods to solve them, anticipate consequences. PLO17. Establish and maintain relationships with clients based on mutual trust and in accordance with ethical principles and social work standards, provide them with psychological support and empower clients. PLO20. Identify ethical dilemmas and contradictions in professional activities and apply supervision tools to resolve them, including at the early intervention stage. PLO21. Demonstrate tolerant behaviour, show respect for cultural, religious, and ethnic differences, distinguish the impact of stereotypes and prejudices. PLO22. Demonstrate the ability to creatively solve problems and make innovative decisions, think and apply creative skills to generate fundamentally new ideas.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
A higher education student must be familiar with: the ethical principles of a social educator’s professional practice. A higher education student must be able to: analyze, synthesize, and compare different conceptual approaches to the study of social phenomena; identify socio-educational issues affecting various population groups. A higher education student must possess communication skills and the ability to interact with clients in a tolerant manner.
Course content
The aim of this course is to equip students with knowledge of gender theory and gender equality, as well as strategies for achieving gender equality in Ukraine and around the world.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, tasks for independent student work, preparation of presentations, analytical materials, reports on solving practical problems.
Assessment methods and criteria
It is mandatory to receive the test is to perform modular control work and get at least 60 points in total. For students who have scored a sum of fewer points than the critical calculation minimum of 36 points - modular control works, practical works and tasks for independent work must be performed for admission to the qualification. Excellent 90-100 points. Good 75-89 points. Satisfactory 60-74 points. Fail 0-59 points. Passed 60-100 points. Fail 0-59 points.
