PLO 7. Understand the main problems of Arabic (Hindi / Persian) philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 8. Know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of speech, the history of the Arabic (Hindi / Persian) language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 16. Know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, be able to apply them in professional activities. PLO 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex tasks and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or study.

Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize future philologists of Eastern languages ​​with the basics of systemic knowledge of synchronic linguistics as the first component of the basic theory of the chosen specialty; to teach students to apply knowledge of the basic patterns identified in historical linguistics; to familiarize future philologists of Eastern languages ​​with the basics of systemic knowledge of historical linguistics as the second component of the basic theory of the chosen specialty; to teach students to apply knowledge of the basic patterns identified in historical linguistics.

Assessment methods and criteria
The discipline ends with an exam. Students who have scored less points than the critical minimum of 36 points are not allowed to take the exam. Students who have not reached the threshold level of assessment (36 points) during the semester must complete the missed topics in writing and submit/send them by e-mail to the teacher conducting the seminar classes in order to be admitted to the exam. The maximum score for additional forms of assessment cannot exceed 40% of the final grade (up to 40 points on a 100-point scale). The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam). Admission to the exam assumes the successful completion of tasks by the student and work throughout the semester.
