Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting to study this discipline, students should know the features of the Hindi language, Indian literature, the theory and practice of translation from Hindi and the methodology of its teaching. Be able to work with educational and scientific information in the field of Indology, process it, make generalizations and conclusions regarding the features of a linguistic, translation and methodological nature. Have basic skills in updating, systematizing, deepening scientific and research search; comparative analysis, description and evaluation for formulating generalizations and substantiating conclusions.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to write and defend a master's qualification (research) thesis - to develop skills in research work and establish the actual compliance of the graduate's educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty 035 "Philology" (035.062 "Oriental Languages and Literatures (including Translation), the first - Hindi") for the OP "Oriental Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Hindi Language and Literature".

Work with sources, consultation of a scientific supervisor, writing a qualification (master's) thesis.
Assessment methods and criteria
The grade for writing a master's degree qualification thesis consists of three components: 1) the grade of the scientific supervisor, who fills out the scientific supervisor's feedback form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 2) the grade of the reviewer, who fills out the review form in accordance with the evaluation criteria; 3) the grade for defending the qualification thesis, which is set by the attestation committee and entered into the final evaluation sheet, which also contains the overall grade as an arithmetic whole of the three components (up to 100 points max.).
