Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate fluently on professional matters with specialists and non-specialists in the national and foreign languages, both orally and in writing, and use these skills to facilitate effective intercultural communication. PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including specialist literature and electronic databases. PLO 11. Know the principles, techniques and methods of creating spoken and written texts of various genres and styles in the national language and Spanish. PLO 14. Use the Spanish language orally and in writing, in various genres, styles and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in the everyday, social, educational, professional and academic spheres of life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
By the beginning of the seventh semester, students reach a B1 level. They demonstrate confident spoken and written communication within everyday and academic topics, understand the main ideas of moderately complex authentic texts, use key grammatical structures (indicative tenses, agreement, pronouns), and possess sufficient vocabulary for extended communication. Students should be able to maintain conversations, produce coherent statements, express and justify their opinions, complete translation tasks, and work with various information sources. Additional requirements include active participation in classes, independent work, adherence to academic integrity, teamwork skills, and development of intercultural communicative competence.
Course content
Achievement of B1 level: improvement of all language skills. Work with texts of various genres, development of critical reading and listening. Study of more complex grammar (conditional structures, sequence of tenses). Development of argumentative speaking and participation in discussions. Writing: essays, formal and informal texts.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes, discussions, debates, and analysis of texts of various genres. Project-based work, presentations, role-plays. Methods: communicative-activity-based, problem-based, project-based. Independent work: essays, translations, preparation of presentations, work with authentic sources.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is carried out in accordance with the ECTS system, which provides for a two-tier assessment of the material covered, including the assessment of practical training. Final assessment: The final assessment takes the form of a test: the maximum number of marks for the test is 20; the minimum number of marks (pass mark) required to pass, which are added to the semester marks, is 12 (60% of the maximum number of marks allocated for the test). The test consists of twenty questions, each worth 1 mark.
