Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is delivered through practice-based classes drawing on communicative, competency-based, and research-led approaches. Sessions feature discussions, debates, analytical seminars, role plays, and simulations of real-world professional contexts. Strong emphasis is placed on engagement with authentic materials (scholarly articles, media texts, audio and video), alongside the development of academic discourse and intercultural competence. Teaching employs problem-based and project-based learning, case-study analysis, and elements of inquiry-based learning. Students work both independently and collaboratively, producing presentations, essays, analytical papers, and translation tasks. Independent study includes critical reading of academic sources, preparation for classes, completion of individual and creative projects, and the development of critical thinking and self-directed learning skills.
