Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The teaching process integrates lectures, practical classes, and independent study. Lectures provide a systematic overview of the norms of contemporary standard Ukrainian, stylistics, and the culture of professional communication. Practical classes focus on developing oral and written professional communication skills, including document drafting, business correspondence, public speaking, and text editing. Teaching methods include communicative and task-based approaches, problem-based learning, case studies, role plays, and the simulation of professional situations. Independent study involves preparing business texts and presentations, analyzing language errors, and working with reference materials and online resources. Assessment is conducted through tests, written assignments, oral presentations, as well as module-based and final evaluation. Interactive formats such as discussions, group work, and training sessions are also incorporated.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is conducted throughout the semester in accordance with the types of tasks and forms of control specified in Section 7.1. The final form of assessment is a pass/fail credit. The credit is awarded based on the student’s overall performance during the semester and does not involve additional assessment procedures. Students who achieve the minimum passing score of 60 points receive a “pass,” while those who score below 60 receive a “fail.” Students who do not reach the required minimum must complete the outstanding topics by submitting additional assignments, essays, or, if necessary, a written test.
