Course content
The professional teaching practicum (in English) is an integral component of the professional training for master’s students majoring in 035 “Philology.” Its primary objective is to develop the professional pedagogical competencies necessary for teaching in institutions of higher education (HEIs). Completing the practicum contributes to the development of professional self-awareness, communication skills, and the holistic development of teaching proficiency—from theoretical foundations to practical application and the formation of one’s own creative style of teaching English. The goal of the professional internship is to integrate theoretical knowledge of linguistics and English language teaching methodology into direct teaching practice at higher education institutions (HEIs) with III–IV accreditation levels. The experience gained during the practicum facilitates the development of the future teacher’s individual creative style and the refinement of their professional and pedagogical skills. The duration of the practicum is 3 weeks. The format of the practicum is in-person or online. Practicum sites are determined annually in accordance with bilateral agreements with higher education institutions.
