Learning outcomes
PLO1. To demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge in psychology, pedagogy, fundamental and applied sciences (according to the subject specialty) in practical situations of educational activities, to deepen knowledge in the subject area. PLO3. To name and describe the main principles, functions, contemporary forms, and methods of managing educational activities, demonstrate the ability to plan and manage educational activities, ensure and evaluate their quality. PLO4. To formulate existing problems in the field of educational activities, demonstrate skills of their critical analysis, generate new ideas, argue possible ways to solve them, and critically evaluate their feasibility. Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully complete the master's thesis, the student must: possess the necessary knowledge of psychology and pedagogy, as well as other disciplines (according to their area of expertise); to be able to apply this knowledge in practical educational situations; be familiar with contemporary forms and methods of educational management, and be able to plan and manage educational activities; possess the necessary skills in academic research, analysis, and synthesis of results, as well as oral and written academic communication.
Course content
The master's thesis is a comprehensive form of control and final assessment of master's graduates under the educational and professional program "Theory and Methodology of Teaching Ukrainian Language and Literature, Foreign Language in Senior Specialized School." The purpose of writing and defending the master's qualification work is to defend the scientific research to establish the actual compliance of the graduate's level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty. The master's thesis is an independent scientific research on the methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language / Ukrainian literature / foreign language. The work is a description of the course and results of the scientific research to verify scientific competence in the field of teaching, professional knowledge, skills in critical analysis of scientific sources, the ability and readiness of future specialists to theoretically justify, develop, and implement their own scientific proposals into the educational process. The preparation of a master's qualification paper includes the stages of selecting and approving the topic, consultations with the scientific supervisor, gathering materials, processing sources and scientific theoretical, methodological and critical literature, drafting a research plan, conducting the research, evaluating the research results, writing the text of the master's thesis, formatting the text of the work, and its defense.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The completion of the qualification paper involves: critical analysis of scientific literature, conducting a critical analysis of theoretical sources, textbooks, manuals, selecting study materials, creating teaching technologies, and testing teaching technologies.
Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment for writing a master's thesis consists of three components: 1) the supervisor's assessment, who fills out the supervisor's feedback form according to the assessment criteria (up to 10 points max); 2) the reviewer’s assessment, who fills out the reviewer's form according to the assessment criteria (up to 45 points max); 3) the assessment for the defense of the qualification paper (up to 45 points max), which is given by the attestation commission and recorded in the final assessment sheet. The final assessemnt sheet contains the overall score as an arithmetic sum of the three components (up to a maximum of 100 points).
