Prerequisites and co-requisites
The study of the discipline “Technologies of processing and analysis of diagnostic data” is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the educational and qualification level “bachelor”, is based on the knowledge obtained in the courses “Higher Mathematics”, “Fundamentals of Computer Hardware and Software”, “Physics”, “Algorithms and Methods of Computation”, “Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics”, “Database Organization”, “System Programming”. The student must know: basic laws, equations and relations of geometric and wave optics, methods of statistical analysis and approach, probability theory, fundamentals of atomic and nuclear physics.
Course content
The main objectives of the course “Technologies of processing and analysis of diagnostic data” are to master the concepts, methods and algorithms necessary for effective computational processing of digital images, master the practical skills of working with images using ready-made software products, as well as programming the corresponding algorithms.
The subject of the academic discipline of the course “Technologies of processing and analysis of diagnostic data” includes the basic concepts of images in digital form, the main methods of signal processing and their application to the case of images, namely point space transformations, filtering methods based on the use of spatial harmonics, convolutions, rank methods, segmentation, selection and processing of features, including texture and contour, basic principles of building files for saving images, including using compression algorithms, basic methods of synthesizing two-dimensional and three-dimensional images.

Assessment methods and criteria
- semester assessment: The academic semester has two substantive modules. After the completion of lectures No 7 and No 14, written module tests are conducted. Mandatory for admission to the credit is: writing module tests with a score of at least 20.
- final assessment (in the form of a credit): the form of the credit is written-oral. The examination ticket consists of 2 questions, the questions are evaluated for 20 points. In total, from 0 to 40 points can be obtained for the credit. The condition for achieving a positive assessment is to obtain at least 60 points, the score for the credit cannot be less than 24 points.
- conditions for admission to the final credit: the condition for admission to the credit is that the student receives a total of not less than the critical-calculated minimum for the semester. Students who, during the semester, scored fewer points than the critical minimum of 36 points must write an additional test paper in order to be admitted to the exam.
