1. Know: - current issues in modern Turkish linguistics, research methodology in Turkish language and literature, and the principles of academic integrity. - the history of the development of research in Oriental languages and literature in Ukraine and abroad 2. Be able to: - organize the research process, develop research methodology and a research plan, and select sources of information for research; - format research results in accordance with current rules and standards; - apply theoretical and methodological knowledge in practical activities; 3. Possess: - skills in scientific research and structural-systemic analysis of professional literature.

The master’s thesis is a culminating research project in the field of Turkology that demonstrates the student’s ability to analyze and creatively solve academic problems. The thesis topic may pertain to linguistics, literary studies, translation, or methods of teaching the Turkish language. Preparation involves independently selecting a methodology, reviewing the literature, and adhering to formatting requirements. The thesis text is submitted to the committee along with an explanatory note, the supervisor’s evaluation, and a review. The public defense takes the form of a presentation using technical aids, during which the master’s student presents the results and responds to questions and comments. The final grade is assigned on a 100-point scale based on the conclusions of the advisor, the reviewer, and the committee. The main objective of the thesis is to develop theoretical thinking and prepare the student for research activities.

Writing a master’s thesis involves structuring the work according to its main stages, which directly or indirectly contribute to the final grade: selecting a topic; consulting with the advisor; gathering material; analyzing sources and scholarly theoretical, methodological, and critical literature; drafting an outline; writing the thesis; formatting the thesis appropriately; and defending it. In contemporary research on issues in linguistics, literary studies, translation studies, and the teaching of foreign languages and literatures, a wide range of research methods at both the theoretical and empirical levels is actively employed. Theoretical methods include analysis and synthesis, abstraction and elaboration, modeling, induction, deduction, and so on. Empirical methods include observation, surveys, testing, experiments. A master’s thesis involves a fundamental stage of selecting, systematizing, and studying theoretical and other informational sources on the chosen research topic.

100 points are the sum of points for defense (45), review (45), and supervisor's feedback (10). Review: 1. Degree of fulfillment of the supervisor's tasks: 0-2 points. 2.
