Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: 1) successful mastery of specialized disciplines during the first year of the master’s program; 2) knowledge of basic literary terms; 3) knowledge of the periodization of Crimean Tatar literature; 4) understanding of the historical and social contexts of literature from the preceding era. Be able to: 1) apply basic and professionally oriented knowledge of the fundamentals of philology, history, sociology, and cultural studies; 2) apply acquired knowledge in practice. Possess basic skills in: 1) cognitive and professional activities; 2) the culture of thinking and its general principles.
Course content
This course develops students’ analytical thinking skills and their ability to interpret literary works within various contexts (including historical, social, generational, and others). This course also develops the ability to understand individual authors’ styles and the genre-specific features of works; it instills the ability to use various methods in the analysis of texts of contemporary Crimean Tatar literature. The interpretive and comparative methods, which are central to the study of this discipline, enable students to recognize the distinctive Crimean Tatar features of literature from this period and to trace the manifestation of “Crimean Tatar identity” in various contexts. The course “Contemporary Crimean Tatar Literature” is an educational component of the core block of courses in the educational and research program for training specialists at the “Master’s” level, in the field of knowledge 03 “Humanities,” within the training direction 035 “Philology,” in the “Crimean Tatar Language and Literature” cluster. The course curriculum consists of two content modules. Classes are conducted in the form of theoretical and laboratory sessions. The course concludes with a final exam in the fourth semester.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is conducted according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-tier evaluation of the material covered, specifically an assessment of theoretical knowledge—learning outcomes, accounting for 40% of the total grade—and an assessment of practical skills, accounting for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: Part 1: Module 1: 1. Participation in seminars (oral responses): 9–15 points. 2. Oral comments and contributions during lectures: 6–12 points. 3. Module exam: 10–20 points. Part 2: Module 2: 1. Participation in seminars (oral presentation): 9–15 points. 2. Written analysis of a literary work and presentation of research: 11–18 points. 3. Module exam: 10–20 points.
