Learning outcomes
PLO 9. To describe theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic notions, etc.) and applied aspects of the Arabic philology. PLO 13. To explain the essential concepts of specific philological issues, personal point of view and its substantiation both to the specialists and general public, students in particular, in a comprehensible and reasoned form. PLO 16. To use specialised conceptual knowledge within the Arabic philology to solve complex problems, which requires the updating and integration of knowledge, frequently due to the incomplete / insufficient information on the issue and conflicting requirements. PLO 17. To plan, organise, carry out and present research results and / or innovative achievements in the field of the Arabic philology. PLO 18. To present research results to the scientific community in scientific publications or during conference presentations, round tables, seminars, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of the professional disciplines "Lexicology of the Arabic language", "Stylistics of the Arabic language", "Theory and methodology of Arabic translation", "Arabic language for professional communication", "Translation of scientific texts"; 2) knowledge of the features of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Arabic language, obtained from a practical course of the Arabic language.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to consolidate knowledge of the speech skills of mastering the Arabic literary language in the process of communication in the field of academic discourse. Mastering the main qualitative communicative features of speech culture (correctness, accuracy, logic, content, relevance, expressiveness, purity) in the field of academic education.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities comprise lectures and practical classes. Self-study of students involves preparation for oral responses, reports with analysis of scientific literature, fulfilment of written exercises, research presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire academic course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the processing of theoretical material in preparation for the classroom: oral answers, additions, presentation defense) and for independent work (preparation of an essay). All types of work for the semester have a total of: - in the maximum dimension - 100 points, - in the minimum dimension - 60 points. In case of absence from a seminar class, the student must complete the assignment for the seminar. Final assessment: credit.
