PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages. PLO 10. To collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folklore facts, to interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the specialisation elected). PLO 14. To create, analyse and edit texts of different styles and genres. PLO 21. To apply the knowledge and skills necessary to provide faithful bilateral Arabic - Ukrainian translation and interpretation in various sectors of economy and human life.

Full-time form

1. Successful mastery of the professional disciplines "Lexicology of the Arabic language", "Stylistics of the Arabic language", "Theory and methodology of Arabic translation", "Arabic language for professional communication", "Translation of scientific texts"; 2. Knowledge of the theory and methodology of translation, word formation and grammatical features of the Arabic language.

The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the specifics of oral and written Arabic-Ukrainian medical translation; learning Arabic-Ukrainian equivalents of medical terminology, vocabulary and phraseology used in the field of medical translation; acquiring skills in applying translation transformations typical for this type of texts.

The discipline provides only practical classes aimed at developing students' skills in oral and written translation of the specified types of texts. Completion of homework and translation exercises is mandatory. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of an oral survey and the organization of written tasks, tests, lexical dictations, modular control works.

The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire academic course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the processing of theoretical material in preparation for the classroom: oral answers, additions, presentation defense) and for independent work (writing translations). In case of absence from a practical lesson, the student must complete the tasks of the practical lesson. All types of work for the semester have a total of: - in the maximum dimension - 60 points, - in the minimum dimension - 36 points. Final assessment: exam.
