Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages.
PLO 6. To apply knowledge of expressive, emotional and logical linguistic means, and speech techniques in order to achieve planned pragmatic results and establish successful communication.
PLO 10. To collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folklore facts, to interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the specialisation elected).
PLO 14. To create, analyse and edit texts of different styles and genres.
PLO 20. Apply knowledge of the theory and methodology of translation, including literary translation, in practical and research activities, as well as when translating from a second (Persian) language to solve professional tasks.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of the professional disciplines "Introduction to Arabic Philology", "Fundamentals of Translation Theory", "Fundamentals of Translation Practice", "Stylistics of the Arabic Language", "Business Language and Arabic Business Etiquette"; 2) knowledge of the features of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Arabic language, obtained from a practical course of the Arabic language.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to improve students' communication skills in modern standard Arabic in the professional field of communication, mastering the main qualitative communicative features of speech culture (correctness, accuracy, logic, content, relevance, expressiveness, purity) in the fields of culture, commerce, production, finance, and mediation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides only practical classes aimed at improving students’ mastery of four types of speech activity in the process of active work in the classroom. Control of the students’ mastering of the material takes place through their oral questioning and the organization of written tasks, tests, lexical dictations, modular control works. Homework is mandatory.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire academic course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the processing of theoretical material in preparation for the classroom: oral answers, supplements, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (preparation of an essay). All types of work for the semester have a total of: - in the maximum dimension - 100 points, - in the minimum dimension - 60 points. In case of absence from a seminar class, the student must complete the assignment for the seminar. Final assessment: credit.
