Prerequisites and co-requisites
Cross-curricular connections. Practical course of the first oriental language (Vietnamese), Fundamentals of translation theory, Translation practice.
Students must have an advanced level of Vietnamese, as well as knowledge of translation theory, be able to practically apply modern translation methods, and have basic skills: application of theoretical knowledge of translation theory.
Course content
Communicative and translation practice with a break (Vietnamese language) is a complex process that is an integral part of the training of specialists under the educational program for future professional activity, and is designed to ensure that students acquire professional translation skills to work as a translator in a foreign language. Communicative and translation practice contributes to the development of professional self-awareness, communication culture, the formation of theoretical, practical and personal and motivational components of students' professional competence. In addition, during its completion, students continue to develop translation skills and their own creative translation style. The purpose of communicative and translation practice is to form in students, based on the theoretical knowledge acquired at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology, practical skills and skills of written and oral translation in real socio-economic conditions, as well as the students' mastery of social competencies.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The internship is carried out in the form of practical work at the practice base. The main types of work are: participation in an orientation conference on internship, development of an individual schedule of work on translations, development of a work plan, communication with the internship manager, the head of the institution, translation of texts from internship institutions, preparation of reporting documentation, defense of reporting documentation, participation in discussing the results of the internship. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment: differentiated credit. Credit is awarded based on the results of the student's work: active practice, preparation of reporting documentation, defense of reporting documentation, and does not provide for additional assessment measures.
