Learning outcomes
PLO6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and problems of professional activity. PLO14. Use Vietnamese and French in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (official, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO20. Demonstrate basic knowledge of translation theory, main theoretical and practical problems of translation studies in the aspect of a specific language pair (Vietnamese and Ukrainian). PLO22. Carry out multidisciplinary bilateral Vietnamese-Ukrainian translation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses "Vietnamese Language: Advanced Level", "Fundamentals of Translation Theory", "Fundamentals of Translation Practice", "Practice of Vietnamese Translation", "Linguistics and Country Studies of Vietnam". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of translation from Vietnamese. Advanced level of Vietnamese vocabulary and grammar. Ability to perform written and oral translation from Vietnamese at an intermediate level.
Course content
The academic discipline “Vietnamese-Ukrainian Audiovisual Translation” is included in the list of elective disciplines within the elective block 2 “Vietnam Studies. Industry Translation”. The course program is aimed at developing students’ skills in translating audio and video material of various genres. The discipline also introduces students to the peculiarities of perception and reproduction in the translation of audiovisual materials. The purpose of the discipline is to improve translation skills, to form professional competencies in students in the field of audiovisual translation, taking into account genre specifics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of organization of learning: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: oral response, written assignments, project work, creative tasks, MKR. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the acquired material, in particular, theoretical training, which is 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which is 60% of the total grade. The semester score is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; in total: in the maximum dimension 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points. Final assessment: exam. The semester assessment criteria and the assessment criteria for the exam are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
