Course content
The academic discipline “Fundamentals of Translation Practice” is the second part of the complex discipline “Theory and Practice of Vietnamese Translation”. The course is aimed at mastering and training the methods and techniques of Vietnamese-Ukrainian two-way translation, practicing the application of theoretical knowledge obtained in the course “Fundamentals of Translation Theory”, teaching the basics of oral and written translation in the Vietnamese-Ukrainian language pair, and training translation skills at different language levels.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of learning organization: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom work, answers in practical classes, presentations, module tests with open answers. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, including theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. The semester grade is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for individual work. The evaluation criteria are presented in the discipline's work program, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
