Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational program is designed for students who have successfully mastered school courses in the Ukrainian language, a foreign language (English, French), whether or not they have previous training in the French language. Before starting this course, students must have basic factual knowledge of a linguistic nature, the principles of comparative and comparative method, the basics of modern bibliographic culture, work with didactic and audio-visual materials, independently process speech material; plan and evaluate own work.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities in phonetics, graphics, spelling, vocabulary and grammar of the French language. The course is based on system-communicative and activity-oriented approaches and involves acquiring the skills of correct oral speech within the framework of everyday and country studies topics.

Assessment methods and criteria
The credit is issued based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Students who have scored a minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "credited". Students who have not scored a minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "not creditable". Students who have scored less than 60 points in total for the semester, in order to take the credit, it is necessary to prepare material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing independent works.
