PRN 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses “Persian Language: Intermediate Level,” “Fundamentals of Persian Translation Theory,” and “Fundamentals of Persian Translation Practice”;
Knowledge of the main theoretical principles, specific features, and issues of translation studies as a discipline; mastery of the lexical range and knowledge of Persian grammar equivalent to five semesters of a bachelor’s program; ability to apply translation techniques in practice.
Course content
The aim of this course is to develop the skills and competencies required for translation work, enabling students to perform written and oral translation between Persian and Ukrainian of texts in literary and colloquial styles, as well as popular science and academic texts found in online resources.
The course is aimed at developing skills in written and oral translation from Persian into Ukrainian and vice versa within the scope of studied topics related to everyday life, society, geography, and regional studies, utilizing the active vocabulary and phraseology of online resources and demonstrating fluent command of grammatical structures.
The course “Translation of Persian-Language Online Resources” is part of the elective course block “Iranian Studies: Linguistic Studies and Translation.” Instruction takes the form of practical classes, and independent study is required. The course concludes with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of knowledge (40% of the final grade) and skills (60% of the final grade) is conducted through the following forms of assessment: Oral responses: Assessment of vocabulary, grammar, and reading/translation skills. Written and multiple-choice assignments: Assessment of spelling, syntax, and translation accuracy. Module exams: Twice per semester for a comprehensive review of the material. Final exam (written and oral): Includes translation of unfamiliar texts in both directions and oral reading with translation. Grading criteria 5 points (Excellent): Fluent command of the material, no errors, correct pronunciation. 4–3 points (Good/Satisfactory): Minor or sporadic errors (spelling, grammar) are permitted; insufficient depth of knowledge. 1–2 points (Unsatisfactory): A large number of significant errors; fragmentary mastery of the material. Requirements for exam eligibility: Earn a minimum of 36 points during the semester.
