Learning outcomes
PLO 8. Know and understand the structure of language, the general characteristics of literature as a verbal art, and the history of the Persian language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional practice. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities. PLO 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the national and foreign (Persian and English) languages. PLO 18. To have skills in managing complex actions or projects when solving complex problems in the professional field activities in the field of Iranian studies, as well as translation activities, and to be responsible for making decisions in the unpredictable conditions. PLO 20. To demonstrate basic knowledge of translation theory, basic theoretical and practical problems of translation studies in the aspect of a specific pair of languages (Persian and Ukrainian).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses “Persian Language: Advanced Level,” “Fundamentals of Persian Translation Theory,” “Fundamentals of Persian Translation Practice,” “Iranian Linguistics and Area Studies,” and “Introduction to Persian Philology”; Knowledge of the main theoretical principles, specific features, and issues of translation studies as a discipline; mastery of vocabulary and the ability to apply translation techniques in practice.
Course content
The course aims to familiarize students with the history and types of audiovisual translation, as well as the specific challenges of translating multimedia content; to develop skills in selecting appropriate contextual equivalents in both the target and source languages, and in applying relevant translation techniques to produce high-quality translation work in the field of audiovisual translation.

Assessment methods and criteria
The grade is determined by assessing theoretical knowledge (40%) and practical skills (60%): Oral responses (up to 30 points): assessment of knowledge of history, terminology, and linguistic patterns. Written and multiple-choice tasks (up to 30 points): assessment of translation skills and theoretical knowledge. Module exams (2 exams worth 10 points each): comprehensive assessment of the material. Final exam (20 points): final assessment of the ability to translate audiovisual works.Grading criteria5 points (or maximum): complete mastery of the material, no errors, fluent translation.3–4 points: sufficient knowledge, but with minor errors (spelling, grammatical) or a lack of depth of analysis. 1–2 points: fragmentary knowledge, significant syntactic and lexical errors, lack of independence in work. A passing grade is awarded automatically if the student has earned 60–100 points during the semester.
