Learning outcomes
PLO7. Use information and communication technologies, particularly to solve standard tasks in professional practice. PLO10. Be familiar with the norms of standard Russian and be able to apply them in practical work. PLO12. Analyze linguistic units, identify their interactions, and characterize the linguistic phenomena and processes that underlie them. PLO14. Use the Russian language in spoken and written form, across various genres, styles, and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in the everyday, social, educational, professional, and scientific spheres of life. PLO19. Plan and conduct research in the field of philology at an appropriate level. PLO25. Organize the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language, taking into account the fundamentals of the relevant teaching methodology (in the specialization “Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language”). Course content
The purpose of the bachelor’s thesis is to develop Russian-language universal competence in the field of professional and academic communication among non-native speakers, as well as to refine the cognitive and creative skills and abilities necessary for conducting independent academic research. The bachelor’s thesis is research-oriented and aimed at investigating a topical issue in a specific field of linguistics; it must be the result of theoretical and empirical study of the chosen problem, its creative interpretation, and experimental verification of the research findings. To some extent, it must be linked to the practical needs of a specific profession and contain a methodological component (for the specialization “Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language”) or a linguocultural component (for the specialization “Russian Language in a Linguocultural Context”).

Bachelor's Thesis Teaching methods: inquiry-based and partially inquiry-based approaches. Methods of analysis and synthesis. Work with printed and electronic educational materials and online resources; independent study using reference literature. Methods of generalization, abstraction, formalization, analysis, and synthesis of collected material. Methods of observation, comparison, experimentation, generalization, abstraction, formalization, analysis, and synthesis; methods of analogy and modeling.
