Learning outcomes
PLO 3. Apply contemporary methodologies and technologies, including information technologies, to effectively and efficiently perform professional activities and ensure the quality of research in translation studies. PLO 4. Evaluate and critically analyze socially, personally, and professionally significant issues, and propose solutions in complex and unpredictable conditions requiring the application of innovative approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. Identify optimal strategies for effective interaction within professional teams and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. PLO 11. Conduct scholarly analysis of linguistic, discourse, and literary material; interpret and structure it in accordance with appropriate methodological principles; and formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PLO 22. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of audiovisual translation and translation project management, and apply them in practice.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the following courses: General Theory of Translation; Internship in Editorial Practice (with full-time engagement); Fundamentals of Editing Translated Texts; Strategies and Techniques of Literary Translation (English); Academic Writing and Research Design: English–Ukrainian Comparative Perspective. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of translation studies, principles of editing translated texts, and electronic translation tools; understanding of basic concepts of theoretical economics and the functioning of a free market. Proficiency in practical skills of source text analysis and editing of translated texts; basic competence in the use of computer-assisted translation tools (CAT tools).
Course content
The course forms integral theoretical knowledge and practical skills of managing a translation project at its stages considering translation as an economic activity. The course provides for the mastery of systematic knowledge ranging from the theoretical foundations of project management in extrapolation to the field of translation studies, particularly introduces the algorithm for a translation project implementation; develops skills of possibilities and risks evaluation during its implementation; emphasizes the practical aspects of translation project management; considers specific issues of translation project management, such as groundwork and planning, quality assessment, management of glossaries and terminology, etc.; develops practical skills of translator's electronic tools that are in demand within the modern market of translation services.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities include, in particular, the preparation of analytical reports and their presentation; the performance of written tasks aimed at practising certain skills of managing a translation project; the student's work as a member of the working group of an educational translation project; work as a manager of an educational translation project; writing a report on the implementation of an educational translation project. The main method of teaching is the case study method, as well as practical methods, the method of educational discussion, the method of professional activity modelling, the competence method, etc.
Assessment methods and criteria
During each semester of practical classes, the following activities are evaluated: oral answers (9 points), written tasks (9 points), colloquium (10 points), case presentation as a project manager (10 points), case presentation as a project participant (12 points), written manager's report on the implementation of the translation project (10 points). The maximum number of points per semester is 60 points. Students who scored fewer points than the critical-calculated minimum - 35 points during the semester are not allowed to take the exam. The final assessment after the 3rd semester is an exam. The exam is conducted in a combined form and consists of three tasks. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, and the minimum number of points (positive grade) is 24 points. The exam evaluates the following learning outcomes: LO 1.1; LO 1.2; LO 1.3; LO 2.3; LO 3.2; LO 4.2.
