Learning outcomes
This academic discipline is aimed at students achieving the following knowledge, skills and general and special competencies: the ability to appropriately and critically use geographical concepts, paradigms, theories, ideas, principles to explain phenomena and processes at different spatial levels (global, regional, national, local) using information and communication technologies and systems; the ability to apply simple quantitative and qualitative methods in the study of geosystems and processes in them based on an understanding of modern concepts and concepts of computer science, information systems, information technologies, the development of skills in the use of information technologies to perform various tasks in the professional tourism and recreation sector, at the appropriate level, together with the skills of searching, processing and analyzing information from various sources, and using the apparatus of information systems to analyze operational situations.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses: Geographic Information Systems and Discrete Observation, Modeling in Geography 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of basic geographical and tourism theories and concepts. 3. Knowledge and understanding of the basic spatio-temporal patterns of relationships and relations in the "man - environment" system.
Course content
The academic discipline is an integral part of professional knowledge in the field of information technologies: this discipline integrates knowledge of computer science, geographical information systems, basic knowledge of management and marketing in tourism, preparing students for further professional work in the field of tourism and recreation. Studying the academic discipline allows students to master the knowledge and skills of analysis, modeling, optimization, generalization and dissemination of information using modern information and communication technologies. The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with knowledge of modern information, communication, multimedia technologies and specialized information systems that are implemented and used in the activities of tourism enterprises and enterprises in the hospitality sector.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is assessed based on the results of completing tasks and their presentation at seminar sessions, independent work, modular tests and test. Semester assessment: modular tests (RN 1.1-1.4 – knowledge) – max 20 points / min 12 points.  completion of seminar tests and their presentation: RN 2.1-2.3, 3, 4 (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility) max 40 points / min 24 points. The final assessment is carried out in the form of a test.
