Know the main historical stages of development subject area. (PRN1) PRN 3. Know and understand the principles, forms, modern methods, methodological techniques of teaching the subject in secondary education institutions. PRN 5. Be able to operate with basic categories and concepts of the specialty. PRN 18. Apply the basic conceptual and terminological apparatus of geography at a level that allows interpreting natural-geographical and socio-geographical phenomena and processes. To understand the global socio-geographical processes, to be able to make characteristics world population, sectors and industries of the world economy (PRN 20) Know, understand and demonstrate ability implement theoretical and methodological principles studying geography for educational purposes programs in basic/professional high school PRN 23

For successful mastery with knowledge of the discipline "Geography: countries and regions", students should: have basic knowledge of the school course "Geography; be able to analyze the causes and evaluate the consequences of demographic, migration, social and economic processes in the regions; to have modern methods of search, systematization and primary processing geographic information; elementary skills of geographical analysis and synthesis information, comparative geographical analysis.

to give students knowledge about the geographical and geopolitical situation, natural conditions and resources, population and settlement, spatial organization of the social sphere and production in regions and individual countries of the world, taking into account cause and effect connections of natural, social, economic and ecological processes and phenomena; to form students' professional skills and abilities to solve specialized problems tasks and practical problems in professional activity, acceptance of independent decisions while working in specific natural and socio-economic conditions, to bring up the need to systematically replenish one's knowledge and creatively apply it in practical activity.

Final assessment in the form of credit. The assessment is carried out in writing in the form of deployed and test tasks. The maximum number of points on the test is 40; the minimum number of points that are added to semester points is 24 (60% of the maximum points allocated to credit). The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones - 24 (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to exam).
