            Learning outcomes
        
        
            To know the fundamentals of the global financial system in the context of globalization,  its  history,  structure  and  subjects,  as  well  as  the peculiarities of international monetary and financial institutions; To know the international standards governing global financial markets, special role of IMF and its classification of exchange rate policy, the dynamics of exchange rates, foreign investment and capital flows; To know  the  determinants  of  competitive  performance  of  financial institutions including commercial banks, insurance companies, hedge funds,  investment  banks,  and  private  equity  firms  in  the  financial markets; To be able to find out the main trends and patterns of development of global  finance  under  the  theoretical  framework  of  international financial markets; To master the skills of negotiating across language and culture barriers while influencing financial decisions; To solve collective tasks relating to international financial issues

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1. Knowledge of the basics of International Economics and Quantitative Methods.  
2. Ability to analyze and establish the subjects of international economic relations considering the internalization process, tensions between global integration and local markets responsiveness. 
3. Have  the basic  skills of analysis and synthesis concerning of economic process, critical thinking with emphasize on a logical, rational approach to tackling new ideas, sorting information and discovering creative solutions.

            Topic 1. The concept, system and principles of functioning of international financial markets.
Topic 2. Global Financial Market: concept, structure, participants.
Topic 3. Global foreign exchange market.
Topic 4. Economic nature and role of interest rates in the development of international financial markets.
Topic 5. Organization and structure of international securities markets.
Topic 6. Global Market of insurance financial contracts.
