Prerequisites and co-requisites
must know: legislative acts on social work; psychological and socio-pedagogical features of different groups of clients; causes of deviant and delinquent behavior; theoretical foundations of general and social psychology; general provisions for the organization of preventive work; key content of such areas of social work as resocialization, rehabilitation and readaptation; must be able to: use psychological methods of personality research; identify current customer problems and help solve them; to implement technologies of contact interaction; must possess: knowledge of general and social psychology; knowledge of various forms of individual work with clients; knowledge of the basic forms of social work.
Course content
The aim of the course is to provide students with systematic knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social work with risk groups. The result of studying the discipline is the preparation of future specialists for the organization of social work aimed at helping to resolve problem situations of clients belonging to “risk groups”, preventing social maladjustment, providing support in ensuring their basic needs. Special attention is paid to working with disadvantaged families, children, suicides, forced migrants, delinquents and patients with fatal diseases.

Assessment methods and criteria
Verbal answers, abstracts, modular control, exam. The maximum number of points per semester is 60 points. The form of the exam is written and verbal, in accordance with previously submitted creative tasks and projects. The minimum number of points of admission to the exam is 36 points. The number of points scored per semester is announced in advance. Evaluation scale: 0-59 points - fail, 60-74 points – satisfactory, 75-89 – good, 90-100 – excellent.
