Prerequisites and co-requisites
A higher education student must be familiar with: theories of the functioning of social systems, and the history of the emergence and development of social work methods.
A student pursuing a higher education degree must be able to: analyze the meaning of key concepts in social work; synthesize and compare different conceptual approaches to the study of social phenomena; analyze the existing legal framework regarding social work; and set professional goals for themselves by applying theoretical models in practical work.
A higher education student must possess skills in public communication, activity planning, and performance evaluation.
Course content
The aim of the course is for students to acquire practical skills in identifying the causes of deviant behavior and ways to address it.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, tasks for independent student work, preparation of presentations, analytical materials, reports on solving practical problems.
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum number of points on the exam - 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester - 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam). Students who scored a total of less than the critical-minimum minimum - 20 points before the exam are not allowed. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is -36 points.
Excellent 90-100 points.
Good 75-89 points.
Satisfactory 60-74 points.
Fail 0-59 points.
