Learning outcomes
Knowledge: the essence and theory of creating SDI; the structure of SDI, the functions they perform and the main tasks that can be solved with their help; the history of creating SDI in different countries and at different territorial levels; regulatory and technical support for creating SDI; principles of constructing spatial data sets (basic, profile, metadata), their composition according to the territorial level, as well as the main requirements related to the spatial form of data organization and presentation; principles of interaction and the basics of integrating various invariant components of SDI. Skills: apply theoretical knowledge to create SDI using the appropriate technological base; operate with the necessary conceptual and terminological apparatus for developing SDI; use the main provisions of the current regulatory and technical support for creating SDI; apply the developed skills in working with software that are necessary for creating data sets.

Successful mastery of professionally oriented disciplines of previous academic semesters.
Course content
Topic 1. Initial prerequisites for the creation of spatial data infrastructures. Topic 2. Current state of the national geospatial data infrastructure of Ukraine. Topic 3. Institutional basis of the SDI. Topic 4. Legislation in the field of SDI. Topic 5. The impact of standardization of digital geographic information on SDI creation technologies. Topic 6. Architecture of the geoportal of the national-level geospatial data infrastructure. Topic 7. Interoperability of geospatial data in the national-level SDI and methodological means of ensuring it. Topic 8. Development of specifications for geospatial data sets of the national-territorial SDI.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical work, tests, independent work, test. Current assessment (grade for practical work (minimum grade 24, maximum 40; tests (6 – 10); independent work (5 – 10)); final (final) assessment in the form of a test (grade for theoretical knowledge (minimum 12, maximum 20 points); grade for the practical part (13 – 20)). For students who scored a total of fewer points than the critical minimum of 35 points, in order to be admitted to the final control form, it is mandatory to pass an additional completed individual complex task.
