Learning outcomes
Exam. PLO 2. Confidently possess state and foreign languages for the implementation of written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their research in national and foreign languages. PLO 5. Find optimal ways of effective interaction in the professional team and with representatives of other professional groups of different levels. PLO 6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech technique to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organize successful communication. PLO 19.1 Conduct all types of educational and pedagogical activities in folkloristic disciplines and foreign languages in educational institutions of higher education.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: peculiarities of the system and levels of the Ukrainian language in professional speech; norms of spoken and written English; peculiarities of the folklorist's speech genres; linguistic units that shape the communicative purpose of speech; the main provisions of the theory of communication. Be able to: analyze speech in oral and written form; use Ukrainian and foreign languages in oral and written communication according to the profession; analyze the text by genres and styles; use rhetorical techniques. Possess communication skills in monologic and dialogic forms of speech.
Course content
Purpose of discipline – the discipline should provide master's students with the development of communicative competence for the implementation of professional activities. Master's students will learn to apply communicative strategies in texts of the specialty; to be aware of the goals of speech, to analyze the tactics and means of construction of various types of speech; to project types of dialogues on addressees, practice solving communication tasks in the field of specialization, in the process of learning, popularization of Ukrainian folklore, in professional management. Annotation. The discipline is designed to deepen and systematize language knowledge for: use in the profession, popularization of research in folkloristics, implementation of a communicative approach to the organization of the professional activity of a folklorist. The discipline is based on the main provisions of the theory of communication, the principles of testing the theory by practice.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: maximum number – 100 points: answer at the seminar session: learning outcome (LO) LO 1.1- 4.3 – 16 points; creative writing task: LO1.1-4.3 – 13 points; modular control work: LO 1.1-1.5; 2.2 - 2.4; 4.2,4.3 – 15 points; modular project: 1.1-1.5, 2.2-2.4, 3.1-3.3, 4.1-,4.3 – 16 points; final control – LO 1.1– 4.3 – 40 points.
