Learning outcomes
Exam. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in national and foreign (foreign) languages. PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process.PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 22. To carry out a complex interdisciplinary analysis folklore product.PLO 25.2 Apply in practice the methodology of teaching Ukrainian literature in accordance with the requirements and needs of secondary school (for specialization "Folklore and Ukrainian studies in modern school").

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of folkloristics, its history, psychology and pedagogy of a secondary comprehensive school, fluency in folklore material; knowledge of the methodology of teaching folklore for different age groups in accordance with the ZNZ program.
Knowledge of the goals, objectives, tasks, methods and forms of organizing the educational process and teaching folklore, in particular, in various types of educational institutions.
Mastering the preparation method for a lesson on Ukrainian folklore, an extracurricular event on folk culture; preparation of visual materials from Ukrainian folklore for various types of lessons and for an extracurricular event on folk art/culture.
Ability to apply acquired theoretical knowledge from folkloristic disciplines in practical activities; carry out independent planning and preparation for the implementation of the educational process on Ukrainian folklore and literature in various types of educational institutions.
Course content
Purpose of discipline - mastering by students of education, knowledge about folklore as an educational subject and about the regularities of the process of teaching folk creativity of students of different age groups; mastering theoretical knowledge of modern methods and forms of organization of the educational process in educational institutions of various types; formation of professional abilities and skills for independent implementation of pedagogical activities; formation of a culture of systematic self-education and creative application of knowledge in practical activities.
Annotation. The educational discipline is a stage of theoretical preparation of graduates of the Department of Folklore to work as a teacher in an educational institution of general secondary education of various types. The discipline is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of the methodology of teaching folklore in various types of secondary schools, to develop skills and abilities in conducting educational work, and to form the professional competences of a secondary school teacher.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, control work, lesson presentation, independent work; exam. Throughout the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, addition, blitz survey, participation in discussions at lectures and seminar classes, intermediate control test, exam). The presentation of the lesson is held no later than the last lecture week, during which students present an independently developed lesson on folk art (on one of the independently selected program topics for students of grades 5-9).
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: maximum number – 100 points: answer at the seminar session: learning outcome (LO)
1.1–4.3 – 24 points; the task that students perform during independent work: LO 1.1–4.3 – 16 points; presentation: LO 1.3, 2.2, 2.4, 4.1–4.3 – 10 points; intermediate control – written tests: LO 1.1– 4.3 – 10 points; final control – written tests: LO 1.1– 4.3 – 40 points.
