Learning outcomes
Understand the basic patterns and types of chemical reactions and their characteristics. Plan and perform a chemical experiment, apply suitable methods and techniques for preparing solutions and reagents. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic facts, concepts, principles and theories in chemistry. Assess and minimize risks to the environment when performing professional activities.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
To study the course "Fundamentals of occupational health and safety in chemistry", knowledge acquired at school in such subjects as "Fundamentals of life safety", "Chemistry", "Physics", "Fundamentals of law", "Fundamentals of ecology" and elementary knowledge are necessary for students providing first aid.
Course content
The discipline provides a system of legal, socio-economic, organizational-technical, sanitary-hygienic and medical-prophylactic measures and means aimed at preserving the health and working capacity of a person in the process of work in the chemical industry.

Assessment methods and criteria
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. Semester assessment includes activity during practical classes; activity during theoretical class; performing independent homework; writing a modular test. The final form of control is credit. The maximum/minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student on the test is 100 points/60 points.
