Learning outcomes
Know: the composition of the error of the result of a numerical solution of a problem; the method of simple iteration and the Seidel method; Newton's method for solving systems of nonlinear equations; Lagrange interpolation polynomial; first and second Newton interpolation polynomials; extrapolation and inverse interpolation; interpolation by splines; numerical differentiation and numerical integration; least squares method. Know the methods of solving systems of linear algebraic equations (Gauss method, simple iteration method and Seidel method). Apply modern methods to solve systems of nonlinear equations (Newton's method); construct the Lagrange interpolation polynomial, as well as the first and second Newton interpolation polynomials; extrapolate data. Perform numerical differentiation and numerical integration using the Newton-Cotes formulas.
