Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the structure and functions of local government and self-government, the main institutions for exercising power at the local level, the laws of functioning of the system as a whole and its institutions.
2. To be able to navigate the management and public-political processes, political life of specific countries on the basis of knowledge of local governance and administration, institutions, patterns of its functioning.
3. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting of political events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional political information sources.

3.Methodological foundations and sources of the discipline of local government and self-government.
4.Fundamentals of the organization of public power at the local level.
5.Basic constitutional models of public authorities at the local level.
6.Types of municipal systems in foreign countries.
7.Modern municipal reforms in foreign countries.
8.History of local self-government in Ukraine.
9.Principles of local self-government in Ukraine.
10.Organization of work of representative bodies and officials of local self-government.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.6), which is 40% of the total grade and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (communication - 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.3), which is 60% of the total grade.
1: Oral presentation, supplementary materials and participation in seminar discussions - 24-40 points.
2.Independent work (essay) - 12-20 points.
3.Independent work (abstract) - 12-20 points.
