Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic concepts of organic chemistry. 2. Be able to draw formulas of organic compounds. 3. Have basic skills in writing organic reactions. 4. Have basic knowledge of general chemistry. 5. Knowledge of biology at the school level.
Course content
The basis of the course is the organization of the cell (as the simplest living unit) and the main principles of the organization of living matter at the molecular level. Chemical and biochemical principles of cell functioning, chemical structure, properties and functions of basic cellular complexes, various types of low molecular weight bioregulators, hormones, neuropeptides, phytohormones, alkaloids, vitamins are studied. Cellular and molecular bases of the immune system are considered.
