Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students should Know: - Theoretical foundations of foreign language teaching methods; - Fundamentals of pedagogy of integrated learning and methods of involving drama in the learning process; - Features of teaching English in secondary school using theatre techniques. Be able to: - Use drama exercises to develop language skills; - Create integrated lessons that combine elements of drama with English language learning; - Motivate students to actively participate in the learning process through creative exercises. Possess basic skills such as: - Organising and conducting role-playing games, drama performances and interactive exercises; - Using drama to develop students' communication and critical skills; - Use of interactive methods and multimedia tools in the drama classroom.
Course content
The discipline ‘Integrated Learning: Drama Class’ is a discipline of the student's free choice from the elective block 2. ‘Modern Foreign Literature and Teaching Methods’, which is an integral part of the methodological block of disciplines for the training of future English teachers. It combines theoretical and practical classes, and also involves students' independent work. During the course, students learn the basics of using drama as a means of teaching English in secondary schools, and get acquainted with modern methods and techniques of integrated learning. In the course of their studies, students model and conduct interactive lessons, including role-playing games, dramatic performances and other creative tasks that contribute to the development of students' language and communication skills.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes the following learning activities: oral response in practical classes, adding and/or provision of oral review in practical classes, test development, scripting and presenting of a dramatic scene (group work), drafting an outline of an interactive lesson, written review of an interactive lesson model and independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final grade for the course is formed as the sum of the points of the current control and the points given for the exam. During the semester, a student can score a maximum of 60 points (but not less than 36), and during the exam - a maximum of 40 points. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the exam score cannot be less than 24 points.
