PLO 8. Know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of speech, Ukrainian language and literature history and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO 12. Analyze linguistic units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and the processes that determine them. PLO 20. Demonstrate knowledge about the scientific picture of the world formation and development. PLO 22. Use knowledge of the history of Ukraine and regional studies to organize successful communication in Ukrainian and adequate translation. PLO 25. Organize the process of teaching Ukrainian language for foreigners, considering to the basics of the appropriate teaching methodology

Full-time form

Have knowledge of the Ukrainian language lexical system basic concepts and categories, of words’ systemic connections (thematic and lexico-semantic groups of words, synonymy, antonymy, lexical and syntactic compatibility of words), as well as the basics of methods of teaching Ukrainian language for foreigners.

The purpose of the discipline is to master the methodological techniques and means of teaching vocabulary in the course of Ukrainian language for foreigners, the ability to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge for educational materials on vocabulary for foreign students preparing. The subject of the discipline is vocabulary as a teaching aspect and methodological techniques for lexical competencies in the process of teaching Ukrainian language for foreigners’ formation. The discipline directs students to develop knowledge about the vocabulary selection and organization features in the process of teaching Ukrainian language for foreigners, about lexical minimums, about the main work stages with vocabulary in a foreign audience, about of word semantization methods, about exercise system that ensures the lexical skills formation and dictionaries and vocabulary guides making features.
