Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the basics of jurisprudence, general hydrology, meteorology and climatology, ecology and economics. Basic knowledge of the English language.
Course content
This educational discipline is dedicated to the formation of a comprehensive system of knowledge among students regarding the principles and role of the water factor for the national economy, the development of water resource assessment methods adequate to modern conditions, and the formation of an effective model of water management. At the same time, the development of the economic model of water use, the structuring and formalization of the powers of authorities and local communities, as well as the improvement of the regulatory and legislative field in the field of water management are particularly important.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written control papers with open questions are conducted. It is mandatory for the exam to write test papers according to content modules, to complete all practical works. For students who scored a total of less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points, writing essays on insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). Students who, during the semester, scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points.
