Course content
The content of communicative competence as a component of the competitiveness of a specialist in economics and management is revealed. The factors of ensuring the sustainable competitiveness of a specialist are analyzed, in particular, on the basis of the formation of a unique combination of hard and soft skills, in the content of which communication competence plays a decisive integral role. The theoretical foundations and applied technologies for building an effective communication process; goals, features and indicators of the effectiveness of business communications; model and content of the communication process; content, consequences, prevention and resolution of communication conflicts are studied. The course is focused on developing effective communication models in a training format. Basic communication models include the development of knowledge, skills and abilities of oral speech, conducting dialogues and collective discussions, presenting results, regulating emotional state, etc. Special models cover the field of professional activity of an economics specialist by mastering the communication models of a manager, consultant, analyst, etc.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral questioning, discussion, behavioral cases, role-playing exercises (sum of scores with a coefficient of 0.1) – 8 points 2. Individual and group assignments (the sum of grades for all assignments is taken into account with a coefficient of 0.65) – 52 points 3. Control work (grade is taken into account with a coefficient of 0.25) – 20 points 4. Final control work in the form of testing – 20 points
