Course content
educational discipline "Ecological
mapping" is dedicated to the review of the methodical and methodological foundations of mapping
ecological state of geosystems and ecological situations of individual territories, as well as
to the thematic geographical mapping, which was formed as a result of environmentalization
individual natural sciences. Emphasis is placed on cartographic methods
images used for visualization and analysis of the ecological state of geosystems.
The theoretical foundations of the concepts of ecological map and ecological are revealed
mapping. Attention is drawn to the types of ecological maps and their subjective nature.
In addition, the discipline is aimed at highlighting the basics of geoinformation modeling
for the purposes of environmental mapping, as well as analysis of geospatial data sources
ecological nature. The basics of geoinformation data analysis are revealed
remote sensing for operational fixation of the ecological state of geosystems and
thematic classification of land cover as a tool for building ecological networks
and optimization of nature management solutions.
