            PRN 5. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of geographical sciences, in particular to solve the problems of geomorphology, paleogeography and nature tourism.
PRN 6. Use information technologies, cartographic and geo-informational models when studying the processes of formation and development of the relief of the earth's surface.
PRN 7. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the landscape envelope as a whole and geomorphosystems in particular.
PRN 9. To analyze the composition and structure of natural and sociospheres at different spatio-temporal levels.
PRN 10. To know the goals of sustainable development and opportunities for their achievement in the professional field of geomorphology and environmental tourism, including in Ukraine.
PRN 13. Use field and laboratory methods to analyze the morphology, genesis, age and dynamics of the relief, as well as to assess the natural tourism potential of the territory.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites

            1) know the basics of Quaternary geology, ecology, biogeography, general earth science, landscape science, as well as possess knowledge of the physical geography of the world and Ukraine;
2) be able to establish relationships between ecosystem components, analyze them;
3) to have elementary skills of system analysis, to understand the cause-and-effect relationships between the components of nature.

            Course content

            The discipline consists of two content modules. In the first, the basics of paleoecology methodology, a complex of methods of paleogeomorphological, paleopedological reconstructions and absolute dating, and paleoecological conditions during the Paleo- and Eopleistocene are considered.
In the second content module, a complex of methods of paleobotanical, paleofaunistic, paleolandscape reconstructions, as well as the dynamics of paleoecological conditions during the Neopleistocene are considered.
