Learning outcomes
PRN01. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the study of natural and socio-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization.
PRN06. Apply modern models and information technologies for research and development in the field of geography, nature management, urban and regional development, geomorphology, paleogeography and geotourism.
PRN08. Conduct research on natural and socio-geographic manifestations of the development of geosystems in complex and unpredictable conditions, forecast their development, analyze alternatives, assess risks and likely consequences
PRN14. Formulate scientific hypotheses, determine relevant aspects in fundamental and applied areas of research, develop and manage projects in the field of geography, in particular, geomorphology and paleogeography, nature management, urban and regional development.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
) successful mastery of the "Relief of the World" educational discipline.
2) the ability to determine the main morphological and morphometric characteristics of the surface;
3) possession of elementary skills of analysis of cartographic materials of various content.
Course content
The subject of the discipline "Comparative analysis of the relief of the planets" is knowledge about the emergence of planets, conditions and factors on them and their satellites, processes of morphogenesis and other natural processes. Makes it possible, on the basis of previously acquired knowledge, to understand the place of the Earth in the Universe based on the information obtained about known geological processes on the objects of the Solar System and (or) about the results of their manifestations; to clarify the universality of geological processes and the specificity of their manifestations and the probability of forecasting these processes in the future geological history of the Earth. Geological processes and the results (traces) of their manifestations on the planets of the terrestrial group and on the satellites of the gas giant planets of the Solar System - as a tool for learning the geological past of the Earth, where their traces have long been destroyed by exogenous processes, and forecasting the likely future.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture classes, practical classes, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
Surveys, evaluation of practical and independent works, consultations, modular control works. The final assessment in the form of credit is defined as the sum of points for all successfully assessed learning outcomes. Scores below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final score. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures.
For students who scored less than 60 points, it is mandatory to resubmit those types of work for which they received a grade lower than the permissible minimum.
